Fictionalized account of Julius Caesar and Cleopatra as seen through the eyes of the only two footsoldiers mentioned in the Caesar's writings. A lot of attention was paid to make sure customs and ceremonies were as accurate as we could know them, and are pretty crazy to modern eyes. They ran out of money in second season so they had to compress several seasons of material into the second season and abbreviate most of the battle scenes to just the main characters.
